This website records the charity events undertaken by Martine Clarke, to raise money for different charities. As a Guide Dog owner who has had 7 different dogs, she has been the recipient of significant support, particularly from Guide Dogs for the Blind. She is presented with many charity-challenges, and as you will see as you view the posts here, she never turns them down!
In addition to undertaking these challenges, she is also a speaker for the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.
Why GB Challenge?
Initially, when the website was created in 2006, the challenge of the year was to drive a car down a new stretch of road in Bedfordshire. This was the Great Barford bypass, in support of Guide Dogs for the Blind, so 'GB' seemed to fit both ways!
